Nature scenes at JRH photographed by a retreatant

Beauty in the Eye of a Beholder
photos of JRH's natural beauty taken by a 2009 summer retreatant

A great way to get to know God is through the beauty of creation.  Indeed, as the Jesuit poet Gerard Manley Hopkins once wrote, "the world is charged with the grandeur of God.

Jesuit Retreat House has been blessed with 57 acres of beautiful forest and meadow in which the splendors of nature meet the senses everywhere.  But don't take our word for it: see it for yourself in the photos below, which were taken by a retreatant this summer....or come on retreat to view it live and in person!

Turn into our entrance...

Head up our driveway...

Pass by St. Ignatius, who points our way...

Sit on the bench and take in the view...

A doe...

the grotto...

St. Stanislaus Kostka, S.J...

and last (but certainly not least) Jesus.

Come on retreat some time to see it in person!
