Jesus is nailed to the cross.
We adore you, O Christ, and we praise you;
Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.
Reflection
Scripture:
“When they came to the place called the
Skull, they crucified Jesus and the
criminals there, one on his right, and
the other on his left. Then Jesus said,
“Father, forgive them, for they know
not what they do.” Pilate also had an
inscription written and put on the
cross. It read, “Jesus the Nazorean, the
King of the Jews.”

A Prayer
“My God, I look at you and think:
is my soul worth this much?
What can I give you in return?
I here and now accept
for all my life
whatever sickness, torment, agony may come.
To every cross I touch my lips.
O blessed cross that lets me be –
with you –
a co-redeemer of humanity.” |
