Jesus falls a third time

We adore you, O Christ, and we praise you
Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.

Scripture

“Amen, amen, I say to you, unless the grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains just a grain of wheat but if it dies, it produces much fruit. Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will preserve it for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me, and where I am, there also will my servant be.”
 

A Prayer

My Lord,
I see you take a moment’s rest
then rise and stagger on.
So I can do
with the strength you provide.
When all my strength is gone
and guilt and self-reproach
press me to earth and seem to hold me fast,
protect me from the sin of Judas – 
save me from despair!
Lord, never let me feel that any sin of mine
is greater than your love.
No matter what my past has been
I can begin anew.
