Ignatian Yoga integrates two deeply rooted traditions that have stood the test of time – the spirituality of St. Ignatius and the practices of yoga and meditation. Ignatian Yoga programs include:
- Background and core principles of Ignatian spirituality and yoga
- Ignatian prayer: The Examen, Spiritual Exercises, Ignatian Discernment, Ignatian Contemplation
- Yoga practices: Breathing Meditation, Vinyasa Flow, Yoga Nidra, Yin Yoga
- Communal prayer, silent reflection, and group sharing
Weekend retreat includes a private room for 2 nights, 5 meals, 5 Ignatian Yoga sessions, mass, and more.
Ignatian Yoga sessions include a presentation on a theme from yoga and Ignatian spirituality, yoga or meditation instruction, silent reflection, and group sharing. Cost: $285

Bobby Karle is in his eighth year of Jesuit formation in the Midwest Province and teaches Religious Studies and yoga at Brebeuf Jesuit Prep in Indianapolis. He began practicing yoga in 2009 in between serving as a Jesuit Volunteer in Belize and entering the Jesuits. He is a 500-hour yoga teacher and has a Masters in Philosophy from Fordham University.
Alan Haras is the owner of Hamsa Yoga in Lake Orion, Michigan, and the founder of the Cardoner Institute for Contemplative Leadership. He is an 800-hour Dharma Yoga Teacher, Ignatian-trained spiritual director, and board certified coach. He holds a Masters in Religious Studies from the University of Detroit Mercy, and lives in Rochester with his wife Rita Patel.
