Stations of the Cross - #14

Jesus is laid in the tomb.

We adore you, O Christ, and we praise you;
Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.

Reflection

Scripture:
They laid him in a rock-hewn tomb, where no one had ever yet been laid. It was the Preparation, and the Sabbath was beginning. The women who had come with him from Galilee followed, and saw the tomb, and how his body was laid; then they returned and prepared spices and ointments.

[Luke 23, 53-56]

A Prayer

My Jesus, Lord,
You know my spirit is willing
as my flesh is weak.

The teaching you could not impart,
the sufferings you could not bear,
the works of love you could not do
in your short life on earth,
let me impart,
and bear,
and do through you.

But I am nothing, Lord.
Help me!
