A Book Reflection Group based on:
Spiritual Pilgrims: Carl Jung and Teresa of Avila
by John Welch, O.Carm.
Facilitated by Martha Campbell, Psy.D. for Spiritual Directors, Retreat Leaders, Pastoral Ministers and Those Who Have Made the Full Spiritual Exercises.
Come, join the gathered community and allow Teresa of Avila and C. G. Jung to inform your exploration of “Christian individuation,” the movement into the wholeness of one’s personality as union with God deepens. Both Teresa and Jung were perceptive observers of human interiority. Teresa wrote about the soul – the human person in relationship to God. Jung studied the psyche and the relationship of the person to his or her own depths. Through our shared reflection, we will engage the text as a way to inform not only our own personal spiritual process, but also those whom we accompany through our ministry. To facilitate the process, chapter assignments will be communicated and should be read in advance.
