In preparation for our retreat ministry beginning this coming year, we will work together to enhance our retreat leadership skills. We will focus on the skills involved in guiding large groups in Ignatian Gospel Contemplation. You are invited to come away and to be reflective of your personal gifts and your ministry experience and to be re-grounded and re-formed in Christ. This is a time to nurture your call to the ministry of the Spiritual Exercises within the context of a shared learning community.

Since the Second Vatican Council, the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius have been the subject of extensive research leading to a renewal of the way the Spiritual Exercises are practiced. Come and join with Jesuits George Aschenbrenner , William Barry, Walter Farrell, Howard Gray, Dominic Maruca, John O’Malley, John Padberg , Joseph Tetlow as they discuss this renewal. We will view the DVD produced at Georgetown University and take time to discuss the implications of this renewal for our ministry of the Spiritual Exercises. Topics that will be addressed include: the rediscovery and renewal of the Spiritual Exercises and the emerging role of the laity. That’s you and me!
