Advent is a time of renewal, hope, joyful expectation! What a special time to come away and retreat in the serene and sacred space of the Jesuit Retreat House! Yet how many of us relate to feeling ‘stressed’ rather than ‘blessed’ this season? We get caught up in the busyness and the trimmings, missing the opportunity to ponder, and to anticipate the true reason for the season.
Consider giving yourself, and perhaps a loved one or friend, the Gift of gifts: an Advent mini-vacation with the Lord. The retreat takes place Friday 6pm through Sunday 11am and costs $150, including room and board. Come and treat yourself to some quiet time at our place of peace this Advent!
About the Retreat Director: Rev. Jack Dister, S.J. Rev. Jack Dister, S.J. is a retreat director at Jesuit Retreat House. He draws upon extensive pastoral ministry experience, having served at St. Therese's Retreat Center (Columbus, OH), Loyola of the Lakes Jesuit Retreat House (near Akron), Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland), and University of Detroit Mercy. Earlier he spent many years in teaching and administration at John Carroll University (near Cleveland).
