May-A Word From The Lay Leadership Director

This month, we will observe the Feast of Pentecost, a celebration of  Christ’s giving us his own Spirit to form us and to enliven our ministry  effort in his name. Following Pope Francis’ Spirit-led example, we
see our service as members of the church firmly placed in the world.
Witness our program life:

Praying with St. Ignatius Retreats. As we plan our retreats  for the coming year, we are engaging in Ministry Reflection  evenings – times when we come together to witness the  Spirit’s presence in our ministry. Identifying “best practices”  and defining places where change is indicated, we prepare for
the coming program year.

Nurturing the Call: Leading Contemplative Group Programs  and Retreats. 8 participants who are graduates of the Ignatian Spirituality Institute have completed this 10-part program. The program prepares individuals to lead Ignatian Contemplative Group Retreats for JRH and other venues.
Watch the JRH Newsletter and check out the JRH website for the “Walking the Pilgrim Way of Ignatius Loyola” retreats which will be offered by these retreat leaders:

Food for the Journey. This program, designed for spiritual directors, retreat leaders, pastoral ministers and those who have made the full Spiritual Exercises, offers a setting in which spiritual teachings may be received in a way that informs the heart and provides an opportunity for faith-sharing
from this experience. A self-selected group of volunteers will be meeting in June to discern the content of this coming year’s programming.
